Transfer Week!!!

So transfer calls came... we are getting Pink Washed! which means that sister missionaries are replacing both of us in the Thousand Oaks 4th ward, I know one of the sisters. Her name is Sister Woods and she was in my MTC district. Elder Wilson is going to Arroyo Grande. I am going to the Camarillo 2nd ward and my new companion is Elder Martin.
This week was a really good one, we got a lot of stuff done.
Monday was Elder Wilson's Birthday and we had lots of fun.
     Tuesday
We had a lesson with Jenna Sheppard and took Robby with us. We resolved her concerns about the trinity and helped her understand why reading the Book Of Mormon can help her.
     Wednesday
We saw Charles, had a good gospel discussion and gained a lot of trust with him. We also had a lesson with Lito, he told us that he would already have been baptized but his only fear is how he is going to transition his family that lives in the Philippines from one christian church to ours. He is moving to the 1st ward boundaries so those Elders will continue to work with him.
     Thursday
We did service for Charles and his wife, we helped them move furniture around their house. Afterwards he offered to take us out to dinner this week.
     Friday
We had a lesson with the Vudmaska family and read the Book Of Mormon with them.
     Saturday
We saw Puru and Pretti in the morning and showed them Mormon.org and how to use it. Charles and his wife Helga took us to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. It was really good they are progressing well but they are going out of town and won't be back until July.
     Sunday
We saw Sister Micheal and we talked about having faith when things get hard and having a good attitude instead of the "Wo is me," attitude. She is very firm and a great support to her whole family as a grandmother and mother.

This week!

This week was excellent! Here is a quick summary of it.
     Tuesday
Elder Spencer is an awesome missionary, we got along great and got some great stuff done. We spent the day visiting potential investigators but no one was really home. But later that night we taught their investigators David and Brennan whom I have met before. We taught them about the Word of Wisdom and the law of Chastity. It went very well, the spirit was there and they committed to follow those commandments.
     Wednesday
We had a lesson with Manny and took Robbie with us. He did a good job of leading the conversation to the message of the Restoration which we were then able to teach Manny. We gave him a BOM and invited him to church. We also saw John and Mary and were able to give them a good message. We had dinner with the Olsen's who also invited Debbie and Jack Robinson. It was Debbie's birthday so we sang to her and presented a gospel message.
     Thursday
We went to see Tracy a potential investigator but she wasn't home her daughter Katie was. She was making Guacamole and offered us some. Of course we took her up on the offer! We also talked about gospel related things and had a good lesson. We also saw Brother Parra who can't come to church because of his spouse but he is faithful in reading the scriptures and praying. He is doing better health wise from the last time I saw him. We also ran into Brother Teel and his cousin Alex who were going to play a game of Billiards in the club house and invited us. We accepted and played with them as we taught Alex and got to know Bro Teel's background a little better.
     Friday
This day is officially awkward Dec day. We first went to see Joan, She had the TV on and we kinda talked with her and prayed but it wasn't focused. Later that night we declared to a couple who were clearly flirting and the girl gave us a look like "cant you see I'm busy?" Then we drove past this guy who was standing by a wall by himself. We parked and went to talk to him, his name was Luke. He told us this was his hang out spot with his friends "The Wall" soon there were 10 other young people that showed up smoking/drinking. He told us all about how he toured Canada in a band. some of the kids looked over and said "whats with the J-dubs" (slang for Jehovah's Witness missionaries) When we left they all said bye to us.
     Saturday
We went on a Blitz with the 2nd ward. I went with Elder Fagen and we taught a good lesson to Bob a potential investigator and set a return appointment. Then we saw Bro Alden with Elder Spencer, my companion and gave him a message.
     Sunday
We had Charles and Helga Litchde come to sacrament meeting, they are from Switzerland and Germany. They loved the meeting! Then we did some street contacting and met a lot of people that were out and about. We called our Moms and said happy mothers day. There is a really good mothers day video. the link is Motherhood.mormon.org After dinner we went to see Lito. We haven't seen him in a while but he is doing good, he will be moving next week to a new care facility to work at. That is in the 2nd ward so he will continue to learn from the missionaries their.
Today is my companions birth day! so we are going to have lots of fun!

Last week!
Elder Bostrom my previous zone leader just got to Thousand Oaks and has come to say hi to us right now! It is great to see him again!
Anyway this week was a great one, here is a summary of it:
Monday We went to the mall with the 1st ward Elders. We found a place where they sell expensive ties for very cheap! Elder shields got Captain America socks and I got some awesome Batman ones for P-day! met with the Burneo family and took Caleb, a priest. Brandon and Caleb went off talking about Dragon ball Z and I got lost really fast!
Tuesday
We took Marcus to see Joan. She let us in, we had a lesson and helped her organize her stuff. We set up a time to help her more next week.
Wednesday
We took John to do service for Fern, a friend of Sister Mayhou. The night before at 10 Fern called and asked for help, but took 20 minutes to ask! She just kept talking in circles until we could get what she was trying to ask us. We also took John to a lesson with Madelene and she didn't like him too much. She felt that she wasn't able to speak her mind.
FridayWe had President interviews, I learned a lot of good things from the assistants about effective study. I also learned a lot about personal accountability and integrity. That night we had a lesson with Puru and Preeti, we taught them the plan of salvation. They are doing very good, they are praying daily and reading the Book of Mormon!
Saturday
We dropped by Joe and had a short lesson with him. We also saw sister Micheal and taught her about tithing. Today was supposed to be Madelene's baptism but on thursday she called and told us that she was feeling sick because of stress and her diabetes. We went by the Hoods who are a part member family. They have 4 little girls that are all crazy but lots of fun! Their daughter Kaiya is 7 and we would like to start teaching her soon.
Sunday
We went to see Kirk, we showed up right when he needed help moving a trampoline from his car to his back yard. So we helped him, talked for a while and tried to get him more involved in learning about the gospel. We dropped by Jenna Shepard, discussed her questions and set us an appointment.
Love,
Elder Dallin Stout
